Like other things social media related… I’m late to posting this BUT this trend was so much fun! 🤩

I loved getting to see what everyone else loved and it really opened my eyes to connections I didn’t see before… 🤔 like why I love hockey romance books And why I’m always falling for the grumpy morally grey MMCs! 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have so many more I could add but these were the main ones that I picked from what I wrote down. And of course, I couldn’t pick just one!

Never thought I’d be one to actually ENJOY a protein shake…

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
I know this show caught a lot of opinions and be what they may, I read this book in high school (and a few rereads since then) and my heart breaks every single time for Hannah.

A book that got me out of my reading slump:
The Cruel Prince by @blackholly
The Fae Queen herself, Holly Black! I was needing a break from what I’d been reading. Too much romance, not enough storyline… every book I started was wrong until The Cruel Prince.

A book that I read in 24 hours:
Heart Bones by @colleenhoover
I read most of her books pretty quickly but I was fully enamored with Beyah & Samson.

A book that lived up to the hype:
Fourth Wing by @rebeccayarros
I never read HP… I know I know. Don’t come for me! BUT I feel like this world is MY equivalent of HP. I love these characters and I cannot wait to see how their story ends up.

A book that deserves more hype:
Vesselless by @cortneylwinn
Courtney’s account was on my FYP… The MMC is a ghost… I immediately pre-ordered.

A book that is a comfort read:
Hush Hush by @becfitzpatrick
The book that started my love for reading back in high school. This series is where it all started for me.

A book I’ll always recommend:
Gothikana by @authorrunyx
For her world building, the characters, how easily I was able to picture it in my head. And yes, I’ve added ALL of her books to my TBR.

A Book I’d Take to a Deserted Island:
Impossible by Nancy Werlin
This is a beautiful easy read for me. I love the storyline and it’s one I love rereading.

A book I wish I could read again for the first time:
If I Stay by @gayleforman
This book has implanted itself inside my heart. Maybe it is because I read it when I was struggling with my own grief… or maybe because I too played a string instrument… maybe because music is what got me through said grief… perhaps a combination of all.

Something I’ve always struggled with setting. Did I want to be the biggest news anchor? Did I want to make X amount of money per year? Did I want to have a certain amount of promotions at work in a specific amount of time?

I honestly didn’t know… I knew none of these “typical” type of goals appealed to me. So I started paying attention to those small “…I wish I could…” thoughts.

I wish I could go on vacation.
I wish I could spoil my pets more.
I wish I could get my hair done more often.
I wish I had a laptop so I could work on the couch while watching a movie.

THESE are my goals. And you know what? It is perfectly OK that they don’t look like those typical large goals others tend to make. These are the things that matter to me. They are what would bring benefits to my life. Annnd, they are helping me learn to set those bigger goals - like wanting to build my own house one day.

New goals require different habits.

Tuesday night is typically my night to do nothing. I work at an embroidery business on my two days off as well as two nights during my work week. Two other nights during my work week are reserved for cleaning my house and working on content. However, I found myself overwhelmed and feeling behind.

I’m typically a girl who thrives when busy. During collage, I took a full course load, had a personal life and worked two different part time jobs. I was THRIVING during this period. I couldn’t figure out what was different… until it hit me, I used to have a better schedule. I knew that I didn’t have a lot of downtime and there wasn’t a lot of time to do things of daily life such as laundry or cleaning or doing dishes. So I would map out every moment of my week and plan accordingly.

So tonight, I set down with my planner and mapped out a new schedule. I know when I have some free time to fit in dishes. I’m going to maximize the time I do have by implementing habit stacking. I have big goals for myself and as I said a few posts back, nothing changes if nothing changes 🤍

I started reading this book a few days ago and so far it’s been unlike anything I’ve read before! It’s taking me a bit but I’m loving reading it before bedtime.
